What is the PED(RE)T project?

The PED(RE)T project is based on our extensive experience in workshops, where we employ artisanal techniques to reduce the release of chemicals and toxins into the environment. We value the repairability of our models and strive to avoid the incorporation of integrated electronics, opting for replaceable light bulbs.

Additionally, we implement specific practices to minimize material waste and maximize the utilization of available resources. For instance, instead of using electroplating baths, we apply natural waxes and fats to protect the metal, thereby avoiding the use of harmful chemicals. Furthermore, we adjust the dimensions of our designs to optimize the use of cut-offs and materials, avoiding the need for new molds by breathing new life into existing ones.

At PED(RE)T, we recognize the importance of timeless design that endures over time. Through collaboration with external designers and drawing from our own manufacturing expertise, we create visually appealing and versatile lamps that adapt to different styles and environments.

¿Qué es el proyecto PED(RE)T?

El proyecto PED(RE)T se basa en nuestra amplia experiencia en talleres para utilizar técnicas artesanales que reducen la cantidad de químicos y toxinas liberados al medio ambiente. Valoramos la reparabilidad de nuestros modelos y evitamos la incorporación de electrónica integrada, optando por bombillas reemplazables.

Además, implementamos prácticas específicas para minimizar el desperdicio de materiales y aprovechar al máximo los recursos disponibles. Por ejemplo, en lugar de utilizar baños electrolíticos, aplicamos ceras y grasas naturales para proteger el metal, evitando así productos químicos nocivos. También ajustamos las medidas de nuestros diseños para optimizar el uso de recortes y materiales, y evitamos producir nuevos moldes al dar una nueva vida a los moldes existentes.

En PED(RE)T reconocemos la importancia del diseño atemporal que perdura en el tiempo. Mediante la colaboración con diseñadores externos y nuestra propia experiencia como fabricantes, creamos lámparas visualmente atractivas y versátiles que se adaptan a diferentes estilos y entornos.
